Finding Your Freedom and Purpose as a Leader
Own Your Power Podcast with Bailey Frumen, MSW, LCSW
In today’s podcast episode we will focus on finding your freedom and purpose as a leader. Sometimes we feel all alone in our challenges, as if we are the only one feeling the way that we do—this is especially the case with ambitious and driven leaders.
We focus on achievement and avoid leaning into vulnerability, at least this was the case for me. I’ve spent a lifetime in high-octane mode, striving toward my goals and checking things off my to-do list, always avoiding any moment of slowing down to ask myself what I really wanted. When panic attacks set in—everything had to change for me—in this episode I share my personal story of finding my freedom and purpose as a leader.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “A man is what he thinks about all day long.” Once I was done feeling powerless, out-of-control, and unhappy, I was ready to make the changes I needed to feel free and empowered in my own life.
