Renewal, growth, new life, transformation…today’s guest expert on the Blog Babysitter Series is seriously speaking my language. Today, fertility expert, Heather Novak, shares her brilliance in a theme of rebirth for everyone. With a sage mind and kind advice that applies to us all (preggers or not), spring truly is a time of transformation, giving us a unique opportunity to look closer, dig a little deeper, and most importantly get clear about how we want to live our lives. Enjoy!
Spring is finally here, and with it comes the magical rewards long waited for during the slow internal winter. Everywhere we look we see renewal and growth; new life budding and reminding us that even after the hardest of seasons, new possibilities await.
Like Mother Nature all around us, the Spring is also a magical time for us to reflect on our own potential, it is a perfect time to begin something new. [Tweet it!] For new growth to happen, however, most of us will have to go through our own internal cleansing process of clearing out the clutter, letting some old things go, perhaps even some things that were once near and dear to our hearts. Like the tree that must lose it’s precious leaves before the winter, so that the future of itself can come through in the Spring, we too must learn how to let go of that which no longer serves us; that which is blocking our future potential from coming through. What in your life needs updating? Cleaning out? Canceling? A new coat of paint?
For my clients dealing with fertility challenges, the fertile season of Spring often reminds them of their own internal struggles and the baby they so desperately want to grow. I love taking them through a process of transformation and renewal, and I will share a bit of that with you here, because it is actually relevant to all of us, fertility challenges or not. I welcome you to take some time this month to reconnect with nature, take a hike, sit by the water, center yourself in your own way, and then answer the following questions in your journal:
- If you could wave a magic wand and have what you wanted today – what would that look like? What would it feel like inside of your body? Close your eyes and imagine this – feel that feeling now.
- If you actually had that thing, what would you be doing right now? What would you be wearing? Saying? Thinking?
- What is one thing that needs to be different before you can actually have that thing? What is blocking you or stopping you from having it?
- What is it costing you to not transform your blockages? What is it doing to your health? Your finances? Your relationships? Your career? Your emotions?
- If you knew exactly how to change that thing – what would you be doing today – right now – to change it? (If you have no idea about how to change that thing stopping you, who have you reached out to for help? Has it worked? Who else can you reach out to?)
Now think about this: What if you made that calling a priority in your life? What would you be doing today – right now – to give it life, to finally listen to it in the way it needs to be heard? Now pretend you know exactly what to do (make it up if you must) and create a list of five steps you can take to bring yourself closer to your vision, your goal, and begin. What brings you joy? What brings you closer to your purpose? What brings you balance and peace? Focus on those things, and remove the rest. It’s Feng Shui for your soul!
As women, we are the ultimate creator of life. We hold the energy and wisdom of ages, and the miraculous ability of creation herself. Renewal, growth, and new life are always a possibility for us. So, this Spring I encourage you to think deeply about what “spring cleaning” might mean for you on the very deepest of levels, and to honor the magical future potential of yourself.
